Angels of Vengeance Command Squads
No army is complete without some Command Squads. I wanted to make them have one for each Captain that my army had. That became unnecessary so I stopped at two. So here they are.

Angels Of Vengeance Photos!
Well I have been saying that I wanted to get photos up for a bit now. Well I just got done taking as many pictures as I could of my Angels Of Vengeance army. There is a unique structure to my 5th Company, yet I'll explain that later. Yet so far I feel I'm about a third or half of the way through the army. So here I give you my Angels of Vengeance Space Marines army, fifteen years in the making.

Chimera to Hydra
Alright so while I've been painting and priming things I have gotten to work on a few projects which I mentioned a couple of blog posts ago. Two of those I was happy to finally get started once the materials showed up from the post. The first being I now have my Belial model with a proper Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield magnetized and primed. The second is the Hydra Flak Tank Conversion!
Here are some pics of the progress I have so far of the first Hydra.
While it may not look at that great to start it's far cheaper than the Forge World conversion kit! So since I now am able to make this a reality for roughly $15 for the plastic tubing I didn't have, plastic card I already had, and a few bitz from my bitz box I'm very happy with the result. I just need some more magnets to be able to attach the twin-linked Autocannons to the turret and those should be in tomorrow.
The pictures above have been taken with my phone so the quality might not be that great. But if taking photos with my phone gets more images of my work up here than so be it!
All I did was cut out a stand out of plastic card that could go over the top of a normal Chimera and magnetized it in place in a couple of spots. Then I made the turret, glued it together, and added the smallest flying stem with the tip cut off glued to the center of the turrets interior. with that I added bitz to the outside of the turret and magnetized it to the stand by the flying stem. For the twin-linked Autocannons I used 3 1/2 in. of the smaller tubing, and 1.5 cm of the larger tubing and just glued them together for the barrels. The casing is just a 1 in. X 2/8 in. balsa wood. I proceeded to cut out strips at 3/8 in. with a razor saw. Taking two of them I glued them on a 28 mm base, added bitz and the barrels, and there you have it.
I'm sure once some paint gets on these it will be awesome. I'm hoping it doesn't rain, yet if it does that will just put off the priming for a little while since California isn't known for raining for long.
Also another simple project I was able to complete was getting my Angels of Vengeance army's six objective markers painted. All while being able to study and socialize. I'm sure the next couple of weeks will not be this forgiving.

More Progress
Alright so I'm taking a large break from painting right now because I've been painting for 6 hours more or less straight. Yet the results are worth it.
I was able to get a squad of thunder hammer and storm shield Terminators painted for my Deathwing. As well as 6 objective markers for my Deathwing are now painted. I've also gotten my Angels of Vengeance 6 objective markers base coated. I might finish them later tonight, yet I'm not sure.
So that leaves just 5 more squads, Command Squad, Ravenwing Bike squad, 2 Dreadnoughts, and a Landraider left to paint for my Deathwing.
So far it's taking me about 2 - 3 hours to paint a squad of Terminators. So if I am able to keep this up I could have just a handful left of this army to paint come the Christmas break.
I'll have pictures up soon since I'm wanting to show some of these guys off.

Deathwing Progress & General Update
Alright so I've been playing games off and on while midterms were going on. Thankfully midterms are over, yet with only two weeks of class left, and then finals, I've been focused on school a lot more than normal.
Yet I'm preparing for the Christmas Break (a month to do what I want =D ) and planning on getting a lot of my armies accomplished. Depending on what life and family throw my way.
While I've been playing games off and on I've just been trying out armies at different point values and just taking what I feel would be fun to play. One of those armies has been my Deathwing. I haven't gotten a lot of progress done on them. Up to this post it was just one squad painted. Yet no more! I've gotten a few more things painted up.
So seeing as how I wanted to change up from painting tanks, and wasn't feeling painting up a lot of Guardsmen, I decided to paint up my Deathwing. Variety keeps your painting skills sharp and I'm aiming for that. So because of this I was able to get my Librarian and Chaplain for my Deathwing painted up. The Chaplain has been proving his own when I do put him on the field. Also my Librarian has been proving himself a lot more in recent games due to the boost to psykers 6th Edition.
Now I'm painting the Deathwing as the Codex has them, with a few tweaks, and so far they are looking great. I'm eagerly awaiting the 6th Edition Dark Angels Codex, but until then I'll just have fun painting them up.
Also in preparation for having a lot of free time and not a lot of money I bought a bunch of stuff that I've been keeping myself from buying just due to not having the time to focus on them. Mainly I have a few projects I want to get done that I have been thinking about for awhile and now I've found a way to make it happen.
The first was to get my Imperial Guard special weapons troopers a flamer option that was magnetized. I just ran out of magnets. So I went out and bought a bunch of them so that I can finish this project and others.
The second is I want to convert a couple of my Chimeras into Hydra Flax Tanks. I just needed to hunt down the measurements for what plasticard tubing to buy and I'm hoping this won't be too challenging.
The third is to convert up all the weapon options for my Belial model. This should be very straight forward.
So with all that said and done I am awaiting the arrival of magnets, plasticard tubing, and some bitz. So hopefully this will give me something to do during the break. Other than play a lot of 40k of course.
Pictures of my Deathwing and Angels of Vengeance armies will come when I'm not so busy with school.

Imperial Guard Progress
So a while ago I bought a couple of Leman Russ Demolisher tanks. Well I finally got around to building the second one. This one proved to be a bit more difficult to build. I'm not sure why, yet it just seemed like a pain to magnetize this one. However I suffered through and got the model assembled, magnets and all, with no gaps and no cut fingers. I will gladly have to thank Zip Kicker for helping speed along the magnetizing process.
In other news I got my box of the Limited Edition Dark Vengeance set. I'm happy that I was able to get it, and will be assembling it in due course. My Angles of Vengeance, Death Guard, and Deathwing just got a boots with these new models.
Also with the "hinted" release of the new Chaos Codex coming soon-ish I'm looking forward to seeing these changes.
With painting I'm finding it difficult to paint through a whole army at once so I'm going to try staggering what I paint by painting a couple of armies side by side and see how that works. Also I do plan on getting pictures of my Angels of Vengeance army up hopefully by the end of October if not sooner. School is in full swing and that rightfully demands my full attention. So hopefully pics soon!

Death Guard Nearing Completion
With the photo dump complete I have a few things that are left to do with the army and it will be 100% complete. As I mentioned a few blog posts ago I have the following left:
- 1 Herald of Nurgle
- 7 Plague Bearers
- 3 Objective Markers
- 6 Vehicle Markers (For holding dice for Hull Points and for showing it destroyed)
Outside of this I just need to put a coat of matt varnish on all of the metal models and then onto the next project. Which will be my Deathwing for painting and my I.G. for modeling / painting so I don't get bored painting the same thing over and over.
As time permits I'll keep updating and posting. Thanks for viewing and comments welcome.
