Death Guard Progress

So after a bit of a delay with social life and family stuff getting in the way I finally have been able to get the motivation to sit down and finish some of my Death Guard. So far I have the following painted.

2 Melta Squads
4 Plasma Squads
1 Rhino

While that may not seem like all that much it's roughly half the army. Each squad is 7 Plague Marines strong. That is 42 infantry models completely painted. Plus a Rhino. What I have left to paint I hope won't take too long.

So far what I have left is as follows

1 Deamon Prince with Wings
1 Deamon Prince
1 Chaos Lord with Wings
1 Chaos Lord
2 Obliterators
1 Defiler
4 Rhinos
1 Vindicator

On another note I am a step further in getting the ability to take photos of my minis. I just need to find a lamp for my painting table. Once that is complete the pictures will come flying. Given that school and life doesn't suck up all of my time. Well my break is over I'm off to paint some more Death Guard. I'll update again as soon as I'm able to.

Death Guard Rising

So the thing about insomnia is that it's really annoying. The thing about having insomnia when you are between semesters is that it just keeps you up at night. What I've decided to do with this is be as productive as I can be. So when I do get insomnia I just sit down at my work station, put on a podcast that is 40k related, and just paint or model my heart out until I can't do it anymore. Well after all of the progress I have made with my other armies I just made a huge dent into another one.

My Death Guard is a themed army. It really works one way. I've had to tweak it for 5th edition seeing as how it was made for 3rd edition. However it still works just fine. I just miss summoning a group of Plague Bearers when I needed them.Yet this army I hope to have painted by the end of the week given that I'm able to keep up with it.

So far I have finished painting one squad of Plague Marines and a Rhino. Yet I have also based, painted, and dry brushed every infantry model in the army. A total of 39 models. I did all of this in about 6 hours. All I have left to do at this point is paint up everything else and when done glue on some static grass. I really need to find a way to get pictures of these models. I might just have to go out and buy a white table cloth for my tiny kitchen table so I can do just that. I'm really liking how this army is coming out.

So only 4 squads of Plague Marines, 4 Rhinos, 2 Obliterators, 2 Chaos Lords, 2 Deamon Princes, a Vindicator, and a Defiler left to paint. If this project goes as fast as I think it might I'll be painting up my Deathwing in no time.

As always pictures to come soon.

Summer is Here Update

I've been up all night painting so I'll be brief.

My Tau and Angles of Vengeance armies are complete. Now to finish out the I.G., get basing sand for my Deathguard, start to paint up my Deathwing, and possibly work on my Eldar in the next week.

Both my Tau and Angels of Vengeance armies are 15 years in the making. It feels good to be done with both of those running projects. However with 6th Edition right around the corner I can see myself adding to them.

I'll post updates as I am able to.

Summer Time is here

Well finals came and sucked up all of my time. I wasn't able to do anything 40k related until just recently. However in the time that I wasn't able to post I did find a few things to occupy my time with. I just got everything set up and put aside so that when I did have time I could work on it. That time is now. Below is a list of all the progress I have made thus far.

Angels of Vengeance
- 1 of 2 Assault Marine Squads converted and magnetized to be Vanguard Squads
- 1 of 2 Vanguard Squad options painted. Waiting on the other squads prime to dry completely. This will be completed tomorrow.
- 3rd Drop Pod half way assembled and primed. Now to paint it, put it together and finish the details.

Imperial Guard
- Whole army based and primed. Awaiting paint.
- Magnetize troops for melta and plasma weapon options.

I hope to get to this by the end of the week. Hopefully the army will be completed by the end of the month.

Deathguard
- Whole army primed.
- Whole army basing will be completed later this month.

Whole army should be finished by the end of this month.

Deathwing
- Whole army magnetized.
- Whole army primed.

I hope to finish this army by the end of the month.

Tau

- Paint a Devilfish and a Hammerhead. Once done whole army will be finished.

Eldar

- Decided on paint scheme. Red with Grey. Must figure how how to paint the special squads of the army to fit.
- Magnetize all heavy weapons options
- Basing scheme will be over concrete ruins and/or snow

I hope to get started on this army in a couple of weeks.

My main goal is to be done with my Angels of Vengeance and Tau armies by the end of the month. With good progress into my Deathguard, Deathwing, and Imperial Guard armies. As well as get started on my Eldar.

After these projects have been completed I'm unsure of what I would want to do next. I do have a few themed army lists I have made up for armies that I do not have. Yet only time and money will tell what will happen. As always I hope to get pictures up at some point in the near future.

Continued Progress

As my time becomes more and more free from the burdens of school work I have had more time to do 40K stuff. Below is a list of the things I have accomplished this week so far. Most have been time consuming, yet most of the hard parts are done. I honestly might be able to get to my Eldar at some point lol.

Imperial Guard
- Whole army primed

Deathwing
- Magnetized units needing them

Honestly I didn't think I would get to my Eldar this year. Yet now that seems like it will happen in all likelihood. I just need to decide if I still want to paint them red or not lol.

More updates to follow.

Progress Incoming

It's been a long week. I wasn't able to work on 40k every day like I wanted but I was able to get some major things accomplished. I was able to prime my whole Nurgle army. As well as prime as much of my Imperial Guard as I was able to. I ran out of spray paint for them lol. Yet now things are coming along pretty well. Hopefully I'll have room on my workstation for my Eldar.

Here is an updated list of what I have gotten complete. (Assembled, Primed, Painted, & Based)

Imperial Guard
- Magnetized turrets on two of my Chimera's (Multi Laser & Heavy Flamer)
- Based 57 new Guardsmen, 3 Commissars, and two Bodyguards
- Magnetized 6 Heavy Weapons Teams
- Ordered Melta and Plasma Guns for Infantry Platoons

Tau
- Painted 2nd Pathfinder Team
- Painted Commander
- Painted 4 Shield Drones

It doesn't seem like much, yet these are some pretty big hurdles to get over. Hopefully the painting part doesn't take to long. It would be nice to have some large projects completed. I'll update more as time permits.
